under the direction of Ian Higginson, is one of
Gloucestershire's leading chamber choirs.
Jubilate performs a diverse range of music, sacred and secular, delighting audiences throughout the UK and in Europe. Our concerts can range from intimate recitals of unaccompanied singing to larger-scale works with guest soloists and chamber orchestra. Our Christmas extravaganza, The Joy of Christmas, at Cheltenham Town Hall, is an annual crowd-pleaser with guest choirs, orchestra, readings and carols galore, and the occasional bag piper!
We were delighted to have had the opportunity of filming with Gyles Brandreth for the BBC One Show in 2011. See Highlights.
In March 2012 Jubilate had the pleasure of singing with soloists Emma Kirkby, Hannah Davey, Sebastian Field, Paul Tompkins and Brian Pursey in an extremely successful performance of the Bach B minor mass.
In July 2013 we enjoyed performing at Highgrove House, the home of HRH the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, a memorable experience for all the choir. We also recorded a CD of music by Ian Higginson, his Requiem and Shades of Jazz.
In August 2015 we completed a highly successful tour of Cambridge, performing in The Chapel of St Catherine's College, St Columba's and Great St Mary's Church. We also recorded a CD during
the summer, well as performing in Bath and Birmingham.
In 2016, we performed a broad repertoire at both Bristol and Gloucester Cathedrals
Later that year we enjoyed singing the Mozart Requiem to an appreciative audience at St Mary's Parish Church, Charlton Kings.
